Ain’t no sunshine when she’s gone
She wonders why she is so lost
When His word, the light for her path, is right in front of her
‘How did I get here?’ she cries out
She forgot that each step matters

And she’s always gone for way too long
She got through one day without sunshine
And then one day turned into two weeks
She heard the lies, but thought she was strong enough to fight them on her own now.
She forgot that she is too weak to fight anything on her own strength

She left for a while to see if anyone would chase after her
She ignored the only One that mattered when it came to pursuing her
And He was pursuing her alright
But she kept running
Only rain clouds when she’s gone
Only darkness everyday she chooses to be gone
She’s always gone too long…
But the good news is she doesn’t have to run all the way back to find sunshine.
Sunshine is always there, ready and eager to meet her right where she is.
All she has to do is turn around and surrender.
